Monique and Stu’s wedding day at Queen City Yacht Club (QCYC) was everything you’d hope for in a Seattle waterfront celebration: heartfelt, emotional, and full of personal touches. Following their vibrant Cambodian ceremony (check out Part One here), the couple gathered with friends and family once again—this time on the shores of Lake Union—for a Western wedding that balanced elegance with authenticity.

Getting Ready at Queen City Yacht Club

The day began inside QCYC, where both Monique and Stu got ready in separate rooms surrounded by their closest friends and family. The yacht club, with its nautical charm and light-filled spaces, was the perfect backdrop for the quiet anticipation leading up to their vows.

Monique was radiant as she finished hair and makeup with I.M. Artistry (Ivonne Mendoza), while Stu and his groomsmen shared laughter just a few rooms away. The excitement in the air was undeniable.

A Quiet, Emotional First Look

Before the ceremony, Monique and Stu chose a shaded, secluded spot just outside the venue for their first look. Stu stood nervously as Monique approached, and when he turned around, the emotion was instant. Tears were shed, laughter followed, and it was clear that this day was going to be unforgettable.

Wedding Party & Family Portraits

With a wedding party of 16 people, the group brought plenty of energy and support. After bridal party portraits, we shifted focus to family photos—something especially meaningful to Monique and Stu. The setting by Lake Union gave us a perfect mix of natural light and Seattle charm.

A Heartwarming Ceremony by the Water

Their ceremony took place outdoors with Lake Union glistening in the background. Stu couldn’t hold back tears as Monique walked down the aisle. When it came time for vows, emotions ran high, but there was also plenty of humor.

In fact, Stu made a hilarious confession—he once lied about their dog’s birthday so it would align with a date that was easier for him to remember. The crowd erupted in laughter, a perfect reflection of the couple’s balance between heartfelt love and lighthearted fun. He promised it was the one and only thing he has ever kept from Monique.

Officiated by Greg Milner, the ceremony was the perfect blend of sincerity and joy.

A Reception Filled with Love and Laughter

After sealing their vows, Monique and Stu made a point to greet every guest during cocktail hour—a small detail that showed just how much they value their community.

The reception was warm, lively, and emotional. Toasts from Monique’s cousins, father, and maid of honor brought laughter and tears, while Stu’s brother and father shared words that left the whole room smiling.

And of course, the dance floor was buzzing all night thanks to Blue Wave Band. Guests celebrated surrounded by Monique’s decor touches (yes, she did much of it herself!) and the incredible florals by Mandee Osbourne of Buds and Blooms.

The Dream Team Behind the Day

A Celebration to Remember

Monique and Stu’s wedding at Queen City Yacht Club was so much more than just a party—it was a heartfelt reflection of who they are as a couple. From the emotional first look to the hilarious vows and the vibrant dance floor, the day was full of moments their guests will remember forever.

A Review from Monique & Stu

"Andre did an amazing job with our wedding photos. We had a Cambodian wedding and a Western wedding, and he photographed both. He is a very talented photographer. Andre was great at directing us on what would look best for the photos. I loved that many of the photos embodied all the emotions of the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. We highly recommend Andre if you’re looking for a great wedding photographer!”
